Lord Gautama

Lord Gautama, kind and wise,
Show me now those closed eyes
As I meditate with Thee,
Go within to truly see.

Help me now to still my form,
One-pointedness now the norm,
Fix my hands in calm repose,
Show me what each Bhudda knows.

Visualize sri yantra true,
As I give a mantra blue,
Breathing out the sacred Aum,
Making here my holy H-Om.

Use my heart and chakra fire,
Link to all thy triune spire,
Wafting light to everyone
Clearing clouds with I AM Sun.

Teach me how to reach the crown,
Kundalini's great renown.
Show me now Thy mystery,
Mother Light in each to BE.

Our puzzle is assembled in the
Joy of Silence.
Her pieces,
When found and placed,
Proclaim the Infinitude of Oneness.
A Oneness that knows no boundary
yet draws the lines.

Her lines trace the petals
of the flowers bold,
Too intense they are to hold
Yet their touch remains
to flood the One
with
The Holy Innocence of the LIght
of the Love of the Law
of the One.

Family of Ten

What was it like in a family of ten?
Was it stuffy and crowded in our kitchen and den?
Were the mornings’ uprisings due to vast unmatched socks?
Was there ever a break from mumps, measels and pox?

Were the breakfasts affairs where we each sat in silence?
Were we ruffians, saints? Was their harmony, violence?
Were our bedrooms like hostels? Did our laundry room stink?
Was there ever a rest for our stove, fridge and sink?

Was it organized chaos when one tried to speak?
Were we sometimes quite challenged to be bold, yet be meek?
Were our chore lists too short and our grocery lists long?
Was there crying and laughter? Could you hear each one’s song?

Did our dad and our mom catch some time for themselves?
With all of us ten little mischievous elves?
Could they even remember our birthdays, our names
As their lads became gents, as their girls turned ‘to dames?

In my humble opinion all of heaven conspired
To bring each of us forth just as each one required.
With all of our foibles and word-fisticuffs
Our lessons were learned, though at times things got tough.

The love of our mother was proven each day
As she nursed, bathed and dressed us in her cheery way.
With diapers unending and one at her breast
We soon learned she required an afternoon rest.

She was always there for us, bright, graceful and kind.
Her words e’er supportive, her heart so divine.
Yes her patience miraculous, her selflessness true.
As an angel from heaven she loved me and you.

And our dad, energetic; he would work night and day.
Yet he always saved time to with each of us play.
He cheered at our sports games. He argued with umps
He roared “You’ll be fine” when we’d be in the dumps.

With numerous projects to keep up our house
He kept his commitments, was true to his spouse.
Though his patience was lacking we know he had cause.
For we, now as parents have observed our own flaws.

I’m grateful that I was the sixth of our clan
With Greg, Steve and Jim, Connie, Marsha and Nan.
With Timothy, Andy and Matthew the last
We are still one family and we still have a blast!

I just saw this tonight. Sounds a lot like my family when I grew up. My parents had 6 kids, 5 in the 1950's, the baby in 1960. Seemingly chaotic and lots of fun, especially when everyone was home!
