I have a tip that I really like and that has helped to pray more regularly and with greater joy.

Like most people I am, [I want to say trying] not trying, but I am incorporating exercise in my life. So for the past few years I've been walking around my neighborhood when the weather permits with an Ipod with recorded Rosaries on it saying the Rosary as I power walk.

I keep my mouth from moving too much so it's not too obvious that I'm talking and so no one calls the authorities to pick me up. (These days with those little earphone telephones I think people are getting used to people walking around talking to no one.)

There isn't much traffic where I live so I am able to walk without much distraction. The fresh air, sunshine, birds singing, plant life and animals all make it very pleasant to say prayers.

I like knowing that I'm getting many things accomplished even if I only have time for a 20 minute walk. I'm getting vitamin D, lot's of oxygen, eye candy visions of nature, a good workout for my heart, all in 20 or more minutes. I also like that I don't have to change my clothes or drive somewhere to do a workout.

When the weather is bad I power walk inside on my treadmill. I get my laptop and put my screensaver on of Spiritual pictures and people I'm praying for. I play a live or recorded decree session and power walk on my treadmill for at least 20 minutes. If we have guests in the house I put my laptop on my treadmill and plug in earphones and whisper the prayers softly.

The treadmill isn't as refreshing for me as walking outside but it still feels great to accomplish so many healthy things at once.

Walking for me helps me to focus on what I'm praying about. Sometimes when I'm sitting for too long my mind wanders and all I want to do is get up. When I'm walking it helps me with excess energy and I'm able to still my mind in a different way. When I walk more than 20 minutes I can sometimes feel my mind getting in "the zone". I often feel a stronger sense of my "Presence". After walking, I find that I am more comfortable and more focused when I sit for prayers.

I think sometimes our busy lives help us to create wonderful ways to incorporate prayers into our days.

Please share tips that work for you! How do you incorporate prayers in your busy life?

Great sharing Lisa---Thanks!

My strategy has to do with setting aside an inviolate time of about 60 minutes in the morning before I do anything else. What I do is mediate and pray silently for that time and most importantly, forge a strong conjunction with my higher self so that my chakras are burning and I physically feel the fire of the holy spirit pouring through me each morning before beginning my day. It's absolutely essential to me that I meditate enough in the morning so that my heart has a burning, magnetic feeling all the rest of the day.

I find that this allows me to blip out for short periods during my work day while ascending stairways or waiting for my computer, etc. Blipping out means that I can completely dissociate myself from the mundane world for 10, 20, 30 seconds or more and have maximum flow of fire as I hold a field of awareness of some or another spiritual goal. It's the attunement that I build in the morning that allows me to do this. If I slack off I find that I am not able to make this instant attunement later during the work day--which means that I'm not as effective as a conduit for energy and I'm probably a lot less likely to even think to pray and work alchemy.

In summary, for me it's important to be able to harness short time periods to pray in. And I find that the attunement I gain from mediation makes it possible to do.
